After School Care and Camps – Overview

kinder-slide-2-1

Our after school program is limited to siblings of our full day students. We pick up from local schools and bring the children back to the Greenhouse where they enjoy a nutritious snack followed by age appropriate activities.

We believe children need a break from being at school all day so immediately following snack, our afterschool students enjoy time outdoors to run around and be kids before getting to work on their homework. We understand that the time parents spend with their children in the evening should be “family” time so we make every effort to help students finish their homework before going home.

During the school year and summer break, The Greenhouse offers camps to the school age community where we teach children important life skills. Some of which include how to handle and use money, how to sew, using power tools, how to cook and of course, messy science!

We believe in educating children positively, to look at the brighter side of things and to form their own opinion. When a child leaves one of our classrooms believing they are valued and important, and can do whatever they need to do, we’ve done our job!
We teach taking responsibility for yourself and being responsible to others. Instead of “I can’t”, we try to instill in them an “I CAN” attitude. When a child is confident, it shows in everything they do!
