Meet our Team

HeatherHello! My name is Theresa Twyeffort!

This is my first year teaching Pre-K at The Greenhouse Learning Center and it is such a wonderful place to be. I cherish each child in my Pre-K classroom and have worked diligently to create an atmosphere of love, acceptance and safety so that your little one can grow and learn.
I am married and blessed with three children and one absolutely amazing granddaughter. When I’m not in school myself to complete my degree in Early Childhood Education, I am enjoying creating a line of natural skin care products, reading, cooking and spending time with my family and attending church service. Faith and family are the greatest blessings.
I am very excited about this school year! Our Pre-K students will have wonderful opportunities and experiences, while making wonderful memories!

HeatherHello, my name is Miss Heather!

I was born in Abilene, TX but grew up in Louisiana throughout my high school and college years. In 2012 I graduated with a degree in social work. My dream is to advocate for children that come from abused or neglected homes. I have been working in childcare for 10 years and I am the TSR Lead teacher and teacher trainer here at The Greenhouse Learning Center.

I believe children need to know they are loved, that those who care for and teach them want to be there. When a child knows he is loved and valued, he WILL rise to the expectations set before him.

You could never get too many hugs! 🙂

Hi There!

My name is Ms Amanda. I was born in Queens, New York and moved to Austin in 2001.

I am married and blessed with two beautiful daughters.
I am absolutely grateful to have found The Greenhouse Learning Center where I began my career in Early Childhood Education. Having the opportunity to work in an atmosphere where God comes first is a blessing all around! I am a toddler Lead teacher and I also teach Spanish. A child grows and develops incredibly over the first few years of life and I am lucky to share in many “first” experiences with them! My philosophy has always been to care for each and every child like I would care for my own.
I believe in active, hands on learning so you’ll often find me twirling around with my toddlers, or on the floor acting like a lobster to get the wiggles out!
I’m excited to get to know all of the Greenhouse families and their children!

Hi my name is Ms. Milissa!

I am a supervisor at The Greenhouse working towards my CDA. Although I am eager to fill in where needed with any age group, I am lucky enough to enjoy my afternoons with the infants.

Before working at Greenhouse I worked for a private preschool for 6 years. I also worked in the children’s ministry at church since I was old enough to! One of the many things I love about The Greenhouse is the bond that everyone from students to staff has. We truly are a family!

I am married with two beautiful children, Kaden(born October 2005) and Kenzi(born June 2007) who both attend Nadine Johnson Elementary here in Hutto!

When our family has spare time we enjoy spending time camping, swimming or fishing; just about anything outdoors! I enjoy spending time with my friends going two-stepping or getting our nails done. Needless to say we are always on the go and most of the time we enjoy life that way!

 My name is Miss Kelcie!

I graduated from Jordan High School in Sandy, Utah.
Being the youngest of the group helps me to connect with the older, after school children.

I am a very strong believer in science education and I try to implement that into every weekly lesson. I teach messy science and I’m the Lead after school teacher.

I believe in living a healthy, active life and teach children how to make better choices. I have been an advocate for a tobacco-free lifestyle for 3 years now and have assisted in passing 3 tobacco laws in my home state.
I love being outdoors so you’ll often find my class there learning about the world in which they live and how to take better care of it.

I have always loved working with children and I look forward to helping yours learn and grow!

Ms. Karen
Hi! I was born in Austin, Tx and moved to Hutto in 2013. I have four amazing boys who bring such joy to my life. We love spending time hiking, playing sports and just having a blast together.

I believe that in order for a person to develop into an emotionally mature adult, they must form healthy attachments as an infant. I am the lead infant teacher at the Greenhouse Learning Center and absolutely love the work that I do!

Hi, I’m Ms.Carla!

I am a Lead teacher, teacher trainer and assistant to the director at The Greenhouse Learning Center.

I am originally from San Diego CA.  I have two beautiful boys (age 14).

I found my passion in caring for, nurturing and teaching children while I was in Germany. I have ten + years of experience teaching children. Everyone has a niche, mine is toddlers.

I am currently enrolled in a CDA program, and hope to obtain it before the end of this year. I believe that before a child can learn they must feel comfortable in a safe and healthy environment. When a child feels safe and healthy, it positively fosters children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. I feel that a positive environment is needed in order for children to fully understand love, encouragement, and respect. Although it is important to teach them curriculum, we owe it to the children to understand them as an individual. I am excited to not only teach your children, but to learn and re-explore the world through your children’s eyes. I am very excited to be a member of The Greenhouse LC family, and can’t wait to help your child learn and grow.
